About the Service

Thrift X provides a curated, community-led platform for individuals to sell their pre-loved wardrobe. By renting a rack, you are provided with a dedicated space in our boutique to display your items for a set period. Thrift X acts as a facilitator, managing all in-store transactions and providing a professional retail environment.

Item Acceptance

To ensure our boutique standards are maintained, all items must be clean, in good condition, and authentic. We do not accept counterfeit goods, soiled garments, or items with significant damage (unless specified as a vintage character). Thrift X reserves the right to refuse or remove items that do not meet our quality criteria.

Unsold Items

Items that do not sell during your rental term remain your property. You are responsible for collecting these items at the end of your booking period. Any items not collected within the designated collection window may be donated or liquidated in accordance with store policy.

Damage / Theft Disclaimer

Thrift X takes all reasonable precautions to maintain a secure environment; however, we are not liable for theft, fire, or damage to garments and accessories. All items are placed in-store at the seller's absolute risk. We recommend sellers consider their own insurance for pre-loved inventory.

Pricing & Discounts

Current rack fees and sales commissions are as listed on our official Pricing page at the time of your reservation. Sellers may opt into store-wide sales or apply their own discounts to tags. Changes to general pricing structures will be updated via our digital platforms and in-store notices.

Payout Timing

Earnings from sales are finalized following the conclusion of your rental term. Payouts are processed via your nominated payment method after full reconciliation. Detailed records of sales are provided for transparency and internal tracking purposes.

Collection Deadlines

Items must be collected within 24 hours of your rental term ending. Failure to collect remaining inventory by this deadline results in the automatic transfer of ownership to Thrift X. Uncollected stock will be re-sold, gifted, or donated to our designated local charity partners at our absolute discretion.

Extensions

Rack extensions are subject to availability. To ensure continuity of your sales space, requests for extensions must be finalized and paid for prior to the expiry of your current booking cycle.

Agreement Confirmation

By booking a rack at Thrift X, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions in full. These terms are designed to maintain a community boutique environment that protects both sellers and shoppers.

About the Service

Thrift X operates as a premium, community-led rent-a-rack boutique. Our service provides sellers with a dedicated physical space to exhibit and sell curated pre-loved clothing and accessories. We facilitate the entire retail cycle—including shop floor management, transaction processing, and customer service—allowing you to reach local shoppers in a high-traffic boutique environment with minimal personal involvement.

Item Acceptance

Items presented for sale must meet our curated quality standards. All stock must be clean, undamaged, and strictly authentic; we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for counterfeit goods. Thrift X reserves the right to reject any items that do not align with our current boutique aesthetic or seasonal demand. Sellers are responsible for ensuring that all stock is tagged correctly using our provided labelling system before placement.

Damage / Theft Disclaimer

While we take all reasonable precautions to maintain a secure boutique environment, all items are placed in-store at the seller's sole risk. Thrift X is not liable for stock damage, accidental loss, or missing items. Sellers are responsible for their own insurance coverage if required. We provide custom hangers and a curated display, but final responsibility for stock condition remains with the individual seller throughout the rental period.

Payout Timing

Earnings from finalised in-store sales are processed and paid out to your nominated bank account following the completion of your rental cycle. Payouts are reconciled on a predetermined schedule (e.g. fortnightly) to ensure accuracy. A summary of transactions and net earnings will be provided at the time of payout. Please ensure your nominated Australian bank details are current in our registry to avoid any processing delays.

Extensions

Extensions of a current rack rental term are subject to availability and existing booking demand. Extension requests should be submitted via the booking portal prior to your current term's conclusion. While we attempt to accommodate all requests, extension availability is not guaranteed, especially during peak retail or promotional seasons. Unconfirmed extensions require the collection of stock as per standard deadlines.

Unsold Items

At the end of your rental term, all unsold items must be collected. Thrift X does not offer long-term storage for unsold stock. Any items remaining in-store beyond the agreed collection deadlines may be subject to our donation policy. We encourage sellers to monitor their inventory levels and choose to either collect their remaining pieces or nominate them for donation to our local community charity partners.

Pricing & Discounts

Rental fees and service commissions are applied as standard for all boutique bookings. Please refer to our Pricing page for the current schedule of rack fees and commission percentages. Thrift X reserves the right to facilitate store-wide promotional events or seasonal discounts as part of our community sales strategy. Any seller-specific discounts must be agreed upon and updated in our system prior to the sale period.

Collection Deadlines

Sellers must collect all unsold stock within a 24-hour window following the expiry of their rental term. This deadline is strictly enforced to ensure continuity for incoming community sellers. Stock left uncollected beyond this 24-hour period may be subject to daily storage fees or eventual donation to local charities. We suggest scheduling your collection time with our boutique staff in advance.

Agreement Confirmation

By confirming a booking at Thrift X, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions in full. You accept that sell-through rates are subject to market demand and curate your items accordingly. This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the seller and Thrift X for the provision of rack rental services.

We strictly follow Australian consumer laws regarding the sale of authentic goods.

Unsold Items

Any items that remain unsold at the end of the rental term must be collected by the seller during store hours. Sellers may choose to donate unsold stock to our designated charity partners by notifying staff or utilizing our in-store donation collection points. Unsold stock provides a new opportunity for circulation through our community network.

Damage / Theft Disclaimer

While Thrift X takes all reasonable security measures and precautions to maintain a safe store environment, all items are placed in-store at the seller's sole risk. We are not liable for accidental damage, fire, or theft of items while on rental. Sellers are encouraged to have their own insurance for high-value pre-loved inventory.

Pricing & Discounts

The current rack rental fees and sales commissions are as listed on our official Pricing page. These rates are non-negotiable and cover the use of store fixtures and staff management. Sellers may opt-in to store-wide promotional events or initiate their own rack-specific discounts by communicating with the store manager.

Payout Timing

Seller payouts are processed after the close of the rental term. Once sales are reconciled, earnings (minus the agreed commission) will be transferred directly to your nominated bank account. Detailed sales reports are accessible through your seller portal to track the progress of your boutique items.

Collection Deadlines

Unsold stock must be collected within 24 hours of the rental period expiring. Sellers must bring their own packaging for collection. Items remaining in-store beyond the collection deadline without prior arrangement will be considered abandoned and may be donated or re-listed at Thrift X's discretion.

Payout Timing

Following the conclusion of your rental term, all sales records are reconciled. Funds from items sold, minus the established commission and applicable fees at our current market rates, will be transferred to your nominated bank account through our secure payment system. Payout processing occurs in alignment with our standard business cycles; please allow for bank-specific clearance times to access your earnings.

Collection Deadlines

A mandatory 24-hour collection policy is in effect for all rental agreements. Unsold stock must be removed from the boutique by the close of business on the day following the end of your rental cycle. This ensures the integrity of our curated boutique rotation. Any items remaining in-store beyond this deadline transition to the store's ownership and may be donated to our partner charities at Thrift X's absolute discretion.

08. EXTENSIONS

Rental terms can be extended subject to rack availability and current booking demand. Sellers must confirm and pay for extensions in full prior to the original term's conclusion to maintain their placement in the boutique. Failure to confirm an extension before the expiration of the current booking will result in the rack being released for new bookings and the items being subject to standard collection procedures.

09. AGREEMENT CONFIRMATION

By completing a booking with Thrift X, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. You confirm that all items provided for sale are your property or that you have the legal right to sell them. Our staff manages the boutique daily, facilitates all in-store transactions, and provides point-of-sale services for all items on your behalf.

Item Acceptance

All items provided for rent must meet Thrift X’s curation and quality standards. Items must be clean, in good repair, and free from odors or significant damage. Thrift X reserves the right to refuse any item that does not meet these professional standards to maintain the boutique environment.

Unsold Items

Ownership of items remains with the seller throughout the rental term. Any items that remain unsold at the conclusion of the lease period are the responsibility of the seller to manage according to our collection policies. Unsold stock does not accrue storage fees during the active rental term, but must be managed promptly once the agreement concludes.

Damage / Theft Disclaimer

Thrift X takes all reasonable precautions to ensure a secure shopping environment; however, we are not liable for the loss, theft, fire, or accidental damage of any items leased on our racks. All stock is placed in the store at the seller's absolute risk. Insurance coverage for pre-loved inventory is the sole responsibility of the seller. Thrift X does not reimburse for missing items or shoplifting losses, and we reserve the right to remove damaged items to maintain boutique standards.

Pricing & Discounts

Current rack fees and commission percentages are as listed on our dedicated Pricing page. Sellers are responsible for setting their own prices using our provided tagging system. Thrift X may occasionally run store-wide promotional events; however, specific item discounts remain at the discretion of the seller unless otherwise agreed upon in writing at the commencement of the term.

Payout Timing

Sales revenue, less applicable commissions and boutique fees, will be calculated at the conclusion of the rental cycle. Payouts are processed to the seller's nominated bank account within the standard timeframe specified in the payment schedule provided during the booking confirmation. Sellers can monitor their sales performance through our digital tracker where available.

Collection Deadlines

Unsold items must be collected within 24 hours of the rental term’s expiration. If items are not collected by this strict deadline, Thrift X reserves the right to donate the remaining stock to our local charity partners or include them in our store clearance inventory. Ownership transfers automatically to Thrift X upon the breach of this collection window to ensure Boutique floor space is maintained for incoming sellers.

Extensions

Rack rentals may be extended subject to availability and current booking demand. Extension requests must be processed and paid for prior to the end of the existing term to ensure continuity. We recommend requesting extensions at least 48 hours before your current term concludes to avoid disappointment during peak retail periods.
